GILLIAN -NYC INDIE ROCK
Gillian has been stretching their musical prowess since the band formed in 2012. After the release of their debut 7‐inch, Freak Flag, an EP called The Eyes in My Head and their second effort, Colorize, the band has been steadily growing their fan base around the country. SPIN magazine recently described their sound as something that “demands attention with a combination of hypnotic, country‐twanging guitar and powerful, edgy vocals.” The 405 agreed, praising Gillian’s sound as “delightfully raucous indie rock, complete with sing‐along hooks, explosive guitar work, and a pounding rhythm section.” Gillian has also been covered by outlets including Buffablog, United by Rocket Science and FDRMX. They have performed at multiple notable NYC venues such as Webster Hall, Mercury Lounge, The Knitting Factory, Arlene’s Grocery, Cameo Gallery, Rockwood Music Hall, Cake Shop and more, and are continuing to book more shows throughout the area.
